    Winzip is pretty much obsolete. I think everyone is, and if they aren't they should be, using Winrar.

    Winrar will convert any compressed folder into a .rar which is Winrar's format, so yes it will.

    Use WinRAR. It will open any old and new .zip files. After so long it will tell you that you need to purchase a license....just hit cancel and you can continue to use the program lol

    7 Zip is cool, but it has problems opening numbered archives, so I have both installed on my PC. 7-zip is used mainly, but I'll use winRAR if I have a certain numbered archive that wont open and can be bothered to skip the "PLEASE PAY US" screen. Hahah.

    Ya I have it on my PC. If you don't want the annoying message you can just download a key.
