The last movie I saw was Avatar...I didn't really see what was so special about it. It was just another average sci-fi movie to me. The cgi was very good, the action was good, but I personally did not like the story. Especially the underlying themes, first I despise the environmentalism views the movie had. Then secondly I hate how the movie portrays America as a evil force that is destroying the world. James Cameron should stick to directing, he sucks at screenwriting (though T2 was pretty good). 6/10 Stars for me....

If you want a good sci-fi movie from the 2009 releases watch either Star Trek or District 9.

The Hangover. I was a bit disappointed. It wasn't as good as I thought it was going to be.

I watched 'Where The Wild Things Are' last night with my son. I'm surprised at how good it was, I remember it getting bashed by critics.

District 9. It was good, I really enjoyed it. Next week I think I will be picking up the movie 9, and MAYBE, Jennifer's Body, not sure on that one yet.

Finally got around to seeing District 9 last week. I loved it. I also loved the length of the film. Felt longer than most films nowadays, with some content you could really bite into.

    Lies...

I thought the movie was bad at first to but after the first half hour or so the movie really starts to pick up (especially after that cameo). Is it the greatest film ever made? Hell no that title still goes to the original Dawn of the Dead. But Zland did things right and really with the way movies are nowadays I'm glad it didn't bomb and fail to entertain me.

FYI- Zombieland originally started out as a TV show idea.

Call me a nerd, but I have read all of the books and own all of the movies. The Half Blood Prince was slightly disappointing as it left out a lot of important details from the book. I know they never follow how they should, but the importance of what they left out is what got me.

I watched Toy Story last night and I still can't believe it was made in 1995. Tonight is Oliver & Company. It used to be my favorite as a kid but I just don't remember the movie.

I thought it was great. The plot formula is pretty strange. It's different. They introduce the main character as a damn clown, so for the first half of the movie, you are just laughing your ass off, but then shit gets real and it brings you closer to him as shit heats up at the climax to the end.

It was an interesting delivery though. Felt unique.

I wouldn't say laugh your ass off, there are a few spots that you laugh but nothing that makes it a comedy. Overall it was a movie that was paced right and took it's time so it didn't feel rushed. I just hope that the sequel gets the same care the original did.
